Editorial Policy
Our goal is clear, verifiable finance content: neutral, explicit about assumptions, and easy to verify. We separate method from examples, and we don't accept paid placement on core pages.
Principles
- Neutral by default: we explain how to compare; we avoid "best provider" claims.
- Evidence-first: claims should be verifiable; definitions and assumptions are explicit.
- Method & examples separated: examples illustrate concepts; they are not endorsements.
- High-stakes caution: if a key term is unclear (fees/penalties), we flag it as a risk.
- Timestamped updates: pages show "last updated" and we revise when information changes.
No paid placements in core pages
Home / Tools / Guides / Cluster pages are not sponsored placements and do not sell ranking slots.
How we write pages (structure)
- Key takeaways: 3–5 short, citation-friendly statements.
- Definitions: APR vs flat, fees, penalties, repayment schedule.
- Workflow: assumptions → total cost → verify in writing → decision record.
- Next best pages: 2–4 internal links with clear intent.
